This island located in the Pacific is known for its diverse marine life and the animals that inhabit its jungle, such as the white-faced monkeys. Manta rays, whales and hammerhead sharks can be seen at the Bahía Damas reef dive sites. In the sea, there is Granito de Oro, a small island with a beach and a coral reef.
The Comarca de Kuna Yala ( Comarca de San Blas ) is a narrow, 226km-long strip on the Caribbean coast that includes the Archipielago de San Blas with vibrant colors. Kuna Yala is comprised of over 350 islands in the San Blas archipelago, plus a stretch of 200 Km. of virgin rainforest along the coast.
Located on the Caribbean coast of Panama near the Costa Rican border, this unspoiled archipelago of nine big islands and many smaller ones creates an inland sea where the breezes are so tranquil the waves rarely exceed knee height. Turquoise waters make Bocas del Toro a complete Caribbean paradise.
Islas Secas is world-class vacation destination located on a chain of sixteen pristine, jungle-clad volcanic islands in the Pacific Ocean, twenty-five miles south of mainland Panama. It consists of about sixteen islands which together have a surface area of approximately 10 square kilometers.
The Pearl Islands of Panama is an archipelago that covers around 250 small islands of which most are totally uninhabited. The Pearl Islands are most famous for their wonderful white sand deserted beaches, scuba diving, and marine life (whale watching). The best way to explore all is by sailing.
This secluded island is located in the province of Bocas del Toro and is located about 20 miles from the Golfo de los Mosquitos. Here you can see a large number of species and subspecies such as the golden-necked manakin passerine subspecies, the Oedipina maritima salamander and the endangered three-toed pygmy sloth.
Isla Carenero is a long, forested island in the Caribbean Sea located a few hundred meters east of Isla Colón, in the Bocas del Toro archipelago. The name of the island comes from the nautical term careening taken into Spanish as Carenero. There are no roads on the island.
It is an island located in the Gatun Lake of the Panama Canal. It is a protected site dedicated to the study of tropical forests and, together with five adjacent peninsulas, form the Barro Colorado Natural Monument, with an area of 54 km². There is a permanent research center dedicated to studying rainforest ecosystems. It is considered a good example of a natural environment with little change.
